BUGGY POLICIES
Use of buggies (ride on motorised vehicles) in Huntswood Golf Club Competitions.
All Huntswood Golf Club Competitions are classed as “walking” competitions (unless stated otherwise by the presiding competition organizer/officer of the day) and thus the use of buggies is not allowed for competitors – apart from those players who have submitted a written medical request for the need to use a buggy to participate in the game – whom Huntswood Golf Club will continue to support.
Only in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion and agreement of the Captain/Officer of the day, will the use of a buggy be allowed for any player who has not submitted a written medical statement
Use of Buggy parked on 10th Tee
In all competitions the use of the buggy parked on the 10th Tee (when available) is allowed by all players, exclusively for transportation to and from the Clubhouse to use the facilities provided.
This policy is to be read in conjunction with the Buggy and Trolley Winter Usage Policy.
Buggy and Trolley Winter Usage Policy
During the wet winter months we will be positioning posts and ropes to alleviate the wear around the tees and greens due to the extreme wet weather.
This policy is for pull trolleys, electric trolleys and buggies
Winter Buggy Usage
In extreme wet weather we may need to restrict buggy use, we will be operating two stages depending on how wet and dangerous the course is.
1. Buggies will be restricted to golfers with a doctor’s note unable to walk the course without a buggy.
2. Buggies will be stopped going on the course completely due to damage to the course, and for health & safety reasons due to heavy and extreme wet weather.
